Carson City, NV – When do clocks fall back across Nevada this year? Residents in Las Vegas, Reno, Henderson, Carson City, and Sparks will turn their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, as Daylight Saving Time officially ends across the Silver State.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, most of Nevada will return to Pacific Standard Time through early March 2026. However, a small portion of the state near West Wendover follows Mountain Standard Time due to its proximity to Utah. The “fall back” gives residents an extra hour of sleep, but also means shorter days and earlier sunsets statewide.

In Las Vegas, sunset on Sunday will occur around 4:43 p.m., while in Reno and Carson City, dusk will fall near 4:51 p.m. Farther south in Henderson, the sun will set around 4:42 p.m. Residents should prepare for darker commutes and evening activities beginning next week.

Fire departments across Nevada are reminding residents to check and replace smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries during the time change—a twice-yearly safety routine recommended nationwide.

Daylight Saving Time will resume on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when clocks “spring forward” one hour again.
