Jackson, MS – When do clocks fall back across Mississippi this year? Residents in Jackson, Gulfport, Biloxi, Hattiesburg, and Tupelo will turn their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, marking the official end of Daylight Saving Time across the Magnolia State.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, Mississippi will return to Central Standard Time through early March 2026. The “fall back” gives residents an extra hour of sleep, but also brings earlier sunsets and longer evenings as winter approaches.

In Jackson, sunset on Sunday will occur around 5:09 p.m., while in Gulfport and Biloxi, dusk will arrive closer to 5:02 p.m. Northern areas like Tupelo will see sunset around 5:03 p.m., and Meridian will darken just after 5:07 p.m.

Fire and safety officials across Mississippi remind residents to check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and replace batteries during the time change—a twice-yearly safety habit encouraged nationwide.

Daylight Saving Time will resume on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when clocks “spring forward” one hour again.
