Hartford, CT – When do clocks fall back across Connecticut this year? Residents in Hartford, New Haven, Stamford, Bridgeport, and Norwalk will turn their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, as Daylight Saving Time officially ends across the Constitution State.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, Connecticut will return to Eastern Standard Time through early March 2026. The time shift grants an extra hour of sleep, but it also means noticeably earlier sunsets across the state.

In Hartford, the sun will set around 4:41 p.m. on Sunday, while New Haven and Bridgeport will see dusk just before 4:45 p.m. Commuters, students, and evening travelers should prepare for darker evenings beginning next week.

Local fire and emergency officials encourage residents to check and replace smoke and carbon monoxide detector batteries while adjusting clocks—a safety step widely promoted during each time change.

Daylight Saving Time will resume on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when clocks “spring forward” by one hour again.
