Denver, CO – When do clocks fall back across Colorado this year? Residents in Denver, Colorado Springs, Aurora, Fort Collins, and Pueblo will turn their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, as Daylight Saving Time officially ends across the Centennial State.
According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, Colorado will return to Mountain Standard Time through early March 2026. The “fall back” gives residents an extra hour of sleep, but also marks the beginning of darker evenings and shorter days statewide.
In Denver, sunset on Sunday will occur around 4:54 p.m., while in Colorado Springs, dusk will fall near 4:57 p.m. Northern cities such as Fort Collins will see sunset closer to 4:50 p.m., while mountain towns like Aspen will darken around 4:48 p.m.
Fire departments across Colorado are also urging residents to check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and replace batteries during the time change—a twice-yearly safety reminder that helps save lives.
Daylight Saving Time will resume on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when clocks “spring forward” by one hour again.
