Boise, ID – When do clocks fall back across Idaho this year? Residents in Boise, Coeur d’Alene, Idaho Falls, Pocatello, and Twin Falls will turn their clocks back one hour at 2 a.m. on Sunday, November 2, 2025, as Daylight Saving Time officially ends across the Gem State.

According to the U.S. Department of Transportation, most of Idaho—covering areas like Boise, Twin Falls, and Idaho Falls—will return to Mountain Standard Time, while the northern Panhandle, including Coeur d’Alene and Sandpoint, will shift to Pacific Standard Time. The “fall back” gives residents an extra hour of sleep, but also means shorter days and earlier sunsets across both regions.

In Boise, sunset on Sunday will occur around 5:31 p.m. Mountain, while in Idaho Falls, dusk will arrive near 5:17 p.m. Up north, Coeur d’Alene will see the sun set around 4:35 p.m. Pacific, signaling darker evenings as winter nears.

Fire and emergency officials across Idaho encourage residents to check smoke and carbon monoxide detectors and replace batteries during the time change—a twice-yearly safety reminder promoted nationwide.

Daylight Saving Time will resume on Sunday, March 8, 2026, when clocks “spring forward” by one hour again.
