Wheaton, Ill. — Wheaton College has announced that soccer alumnus Andrew Wade will join as the full-time assistant coach. Wade graduated from Wheaton in 2018.
Wade played soccer at Wheaton all four years that he attended the school. After graduating, Wade served as an assistant coach at Catholic University of America from January 2021 to July 2023. After that, Wade coached two seasons as an assistant coach at Gordon College in Wenham, Massachusetts. Between both schools, Wade has had an impressive coaching history with ten All-Conference players at Gordon and two NCAA Division III Tournament appearances while at Catholic.
“I am really excited to have Andrew come back to Wheaton. He understands the program and has a heart for Wheaton Soccer,” Men’s Soccer Head Coach Steve McCrath said, “Upon meeting with him, I appreciated Andrew’s professionalism, and the ease in how we connected. I was impressed with his knowledge of the game and all that he will bring with him in his return.”
