According to the Sheriff’s Office, the fire was extinguished by members of the Adams Volunteer Fire Company, with support from St. Johnsburg, Bergholz, Shawnee, North Tonawanda, and Niagara Falls Air Reserve Station fire departments.
Officials reported no injuries, but the home sustained extensive fire and smoke damage. Estimated losses total $100,000 to the structure and $40,000 to the contents.
The Red Cross is now assisting the residents and several pets affected by the fire.
