La Crosse, WI – Multiple rounds of showers and thunderstorms are expected to affect parts of western Wisconsin through tonight. Some storms may become strong to severe later this afternoon and evening, bringing the potential for locally heavy rain. According to the US National Weather Service in La Crosse, northeastern Iowa may also experience severe weather, particularly south of I-90.

The Weather Service warns residents to prepare for heavy rainfall and possible flooding, especially in low-lying areas. Severe thunderstorms may bring damaging winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes. Motorists should exercise caution and remain updated on weather conditions if traveling in affected areas.

Drier and cooler weather is anticipated from Tuesday through Friday, providing a respite from the stormy conditions. Temperatures are expected to range from 70 to 80 degrees, with more stable weather patterns moving in.
