PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Residents across Pittsburgh and much of western Pennsylvania should prepare for another wet start to the weekend as showers linger into Saturday with the added risk of patchy fog by late night. Conditions are expected to clear steadily heading into Sunday, bringing brighter skies and warmer temperatures for the new week.

According to the National Weather Service in Moon Township, rain chances remain near 60% overnight and increase to 90% Saturday, with totals ranging from a tenth to a quarter of an inch. Patchy fog could reduce visibility after midnight into early Sunday morning, especially along the I-79 and I-376 corridors, where drivers should use caution.

Saturday will remain damp and cloudy with highs near 71 degrees before a noticeable shift arrives Sunday, when sunshine breaks through and highs reach the low 70s. By Monday, Pittsburgh enters a stretch of clear, dry weather, with daytime highs climbing to the mid-to-upper 70s through midweek. Nights will cool off into the upper 40s and low 50s, offering comfortable sleeping conditions.

Travelers and outdoor planners should be ready for slowdowns during Saturday’s rain but can expect dry conditions to return in time for Sunday activities. Clear skies and warm afternoons will dominate much of the week ahead.
