Pittsburgh, PA – Western Pennsylvania will remain firmly under a dry pattern through Monday, with measurable rainfall unlikely across the region until at least early Tuesday — setting up one of the longest rain-free streaks Pittsburgh has seen in nearly a year.

According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, the probability of precipitation across key counties including Allegheny, Washington, and Butler will stay below 15% through Monday evening. Starting Tuesday morning, chances begin to climb sharply, reaching 35–45% across most areas by midday, with a 50% chance of rain by Wednesday afternoon.

The last measurable rain in Pittsburgh (defined as 0.01″ or more) was back on September 20, 2024. If Tuesday remains dry through midnight, it will officially become the city’s longest stretch without measurable rainfall in nearly 11 months.

While the dry spell is ideal for outdoor plans and road travel, the lack of rain could begin to stress gardens, crops, and lawns. Residents are advised to conserve water where possible and check for local burn bans or air quality alerts if dry conditions persist.

Rain chances increase gradually starting Tuesday morning and could result in scattered showers or isolated storms by midweek. Additional updates or advisories may be issued if confidence in heavier rainfall grows.
