Pittsburgh, PA – The week is off to a pleasant and seasonable start across western Pennsylvania, with sunshine and mild temperatures expected Monday and Tuesday before rain returns later in the week, according to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh.

Forecasters said high temperatures will reach the mid to upper 50s through Tuesday under mostly sunny skies. Conditions will remain dry and calm, making for a stretch of ideal fall weather across Pittsburgh, Greensburg, and Washington.

However, a stronger weather system is expected to move in by Wednesday night into Thursday, bringing clouds, breezy conditions, and periods of rain that could linger into Halloween.

The NWS advised residents to keep an eye on forecast updates, as timing and rainfall amounts could impact outdoor plans for Thursday evening trick-or-treating.

Temperatures are expected to stay near normal through the weekend, with highs in the 50s and lows in the 40s.
