Pittsburgh, PA – Light snow showers and brisk winds are expected to sweep through western Pennsylvania early this week, marking a wintry start to mid-November, according to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh.
Forecasters call for on-and-off snow showers from Monday morning through Tuesday night, with accumulations under one inch possible across Allegheny County. Northwest winds up to 25 mph will make temperatures feel even colder, with highs near 39°F Monday and lows dipping to the mid-20s overnight.
A second round of snow is likely on Veterans Day (Tuesday), with the potential for brief bursts of heavier flakes in higher elevations. Roadways may turn slick at times during the morning and evening commute, particularly on bridges and untreated surfaces.
Conditions will gradually clear by midweek, giving way to sunshine and highs near 50°F by Thursday. The National Weather Service advises drivers to allow extra travel time, reduce speeds, and stay alert for patchy ice or visibility changes during passing snow bands.
