PITTSBURGH, Pa. – Drivers in Pittsburgh faced patchy fog early Saturday morning, but the region will settle into a stretch of warm, dry weather just in time for the Labor Day holiday. Afternoon highs will reach the mid-70s today before climbing into the low 80s by Monday.

According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, skies will stay mostly clear through Tuesday, keeping travel plans, cookouts, and outdoor events on track. Winds will remain light, with nights cooling into the low- to mid-50s, providing a comfortable end to summer evenings.

Communities across Allegheny, Beaver, and Washington counties can expect sunshine to dominate, though forecasters caution that conditions will shift by midweek. A chance of showers develops Wednesday afternoon, with rain more likely Wednesday night into Thursday. Cooler air is also expected to settle into western Pennsylvania late next week, aligning with a national pattern that favors below-normal temperatures across much of the Midwest and Ohio Valley.

Residents should take advantage of the dry stretch through Tuesday for outdoor plans and travel, while keeping an eye on updated forecasts heading into the middle of the week.
