Buffalo, N.Y. – A damp Thursday night in Buffalo will give way to a stretch of clear, comfortable weather across western New York, setting up a sunny weekend for the region. Overnight isolated showers could bring slick spots before conditions dry out Friday.

According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, skies will gradually clear Friday with temperatures climbing near 71 degrees. A warm pattern then builds across Erie County, with Saturday and Sunday both expected to bring plenty of sunshine and highs in the mid-70s. Winds will stay light, making for pleasant conditions at area parks, waterfronts, and stadium events.

The best chance for outdoor plans comes Sunday, when highs reach 76 and skies remain clear well into the night. Monday follows suit with mostly sunny conditions and a high near 78, before cooler nights return midweek. Drivers should remain alert Friday morning as damp roads and patchy fog could develop before the sun breaks through.

The stretch of dry weather will hold through Tuesday before a slight dip in temperatures by midweek. Additional advisories are not in effect, but updates will be posted if conditions change.
