Buffalo, N.Y. – A stretch of summerlike warmth is settling over Western New York this week, but rising humidity and scattered thunderstorms could complicate plans from Tuesday through Friday.
According to the National Weather Service in Buffalo, Monday brings the driest conditions of the week, with highs between 77 and 83 degrees. Cooler pockets in the North Country may hover closer to 70°F, but the region as a whole will feel unseasonably warm. Starting Tuesday, daily chances for showers and a few isolated thunderstorms return, though much of the rainfall will be scattered and brief.
Rain is most likely during the afternoons and early evenings, especially on Wednesday and Thursday when highs will sit in the low to mid-70s. Lows overnight will remain mild, around the mid-50s to low 60s, offering little overnight cooling.
Cities including Rochester, Batavia, and Jamestown should prepare for pop-up showers that may affect commuters or outdoor events. Residents are encouraged to stay weather-aware, especially during peak heating hours when storms are most likely to develop. With increasing moisture in the air, conditions may feel sticky, especially for those without air conditioning.
Showers remain a risk into Friday, though sunshine and dry intervals are also expected daily. A cooler, drier pattern may return over the weekend.
