Buffalo, NY – Snowfall will continue across Western New York today as lake-effect snow remains active. Areas south of Lake Ontario will see the heaviest accumulation before conditions improve later in the day.
The National Weather Service Buffalo reported that snowfall will persist through tonight, with some areas receiving up to six inches. Areas near Weedsport, Pulaski, and Fulton will experience the most significant accumulation. Snowfall will begin to taper off this afternoon across much of Western New York.
Drivers should prepare for slippery roads and reduced visibility in affected regions. Winds will contribute to blowing snow, making travel difficult in some spots. Snowfall totals will vary, with lighter amounts near Buffalo and Rochester.
Conditions should improve overnight as the lake-effect snow weakens. However, lingering flurries remain possible into Saturday morning. Residents should monitor local forecasts for updates.
