Western New York Braces for Recurring Thunderstorms Throughout the Week

Buffalo, NY – Western New York residents should prepare for an active weather week as recurring thunderstorms are forecasted to impact the region. The National Weather Service in Buffalo has issued alerts for multiple thunderstorm events starting Tuesday and continuing through the week.

Today’s weather will be mostly sunny with high temperatures reaching the mid to upper 80s. However, smoke from Canadian wildfires is expected to cause hazy skies. Monday will remain warm and clear, with temperatures peaking at 88°F.

According to the National Weather Service, thunderstorms are expected to begin on Tuesday with a 45% chance of rain and highs of 86°F. The storm activity will intensify on Wednesday, bringing a 50% chance of showers and thunderstorms and high temperatures around 83°F.

Thursday will offer a brief respite with sunny skies and highs of 84°F. However, the calm will be short-lived as thunderstorms are predicted to return on Friday and Saturday. Both days have a significant chance of storms, with Friday seeing a 45% chance and Saturday a 40% chance of thunderstorms, accompanied by temperatures in the low 80s.
