Pittsfield, Mass. – Western New England is waking up to a cool and mostly cloudy Wednesday, with southern areas like Pittsfield and Torrington staying in the upper 60s while northern towns enjoy more sun and mid-70s highs.

According to the National Weather Service in Albany, clouds will dominate from the Berkshires into northwestern Connecticut through today, while brighter skies stretch across southern Vermont. Temperatures will run a few degrees below normal, ranging from 65 in Torrington to 73 in Brattleboro.

Travel across the region will remain smooth, as rain chances stay near zero through Thursday. Motorists heading along I-90 in Massachusetts and Route 7 in Vermont can expect dry pavement, though morning and evening drives may feel brisk with readings in the 40s and 50s.

Residents should plan for another cool night before conditions shift. By Thursday, stronger warming is expected, with highs climbing into the mid-70s to near 80 across the region under dry skies. The warming trend will help reduce the chill that has settled into valleys and shaded spots this week.

Dry weather is expected to hold through the end of the week, with more updates possible if patterns shift.
