Grand Rapids, MI – Southwest Michigan is waking up to dense fog and freezing rain, making for hazardous driving conditions this morning. A Dense Fog Advisory remains in effect until noon today, with visibility reduced to a quarter-mile or less, particularly along I-96 and other major routes. Drivers should slow down, use headlights, and allow extra stopping distance.

According to the National Weather Service, light snow and freezing rain will continue through the morning, making roads slippery. Tuesday is expected to be partly sunny with a high near 28°F, but another round of winter weather arrives Wednesday, bringing a mix of freezing rain and snow. Travel disruptions are likely Wednesday night into Thursday, with gusty winds possibly causing power outages.

By Thursday, temperatures will reach 36°F, with a 60% chance of snow showers. Friday brings a brief reprieve, with mostly cloudy skies and a high near 27°F.

Residents should prepare for rapidly changing conditions and stay updated on forecasts. If traveling, plan ahead and use caution.
