Across Grand Rapids, Holland, Muskegon, and Kalamazoo, high-profile vehicles may struggle on exposed roads like US-131, I-196, and I-96. Tree limbs could snap, and unsecured outdoor items may blow around. To be fair, temperatures feel mild now, but change is coming fast.
As colder air arrives, rain showers give way to snow Saturday morning. Snow showers become steadier through the day and into Saturday night. Central and western Lower Michigan hold the best chance for several inches of accumulation by Sunday morning.
Roads may turn slushy, then slick, especially as temperatures drop into the 20s overnight. Flash freezing remains a concern after snow tapers, particularly on bridges and untreated streets.
