The 8-14 day temperature outlook released on July 24 indicates a significant portion of the Midwest, including western Michigan, will experience above-normal temperatures. Normal highs are anticipated to be in the low 80s, while normal lows are projected to be in the low 60s.
According to the National Weather Service, precipitation levels in western Michigan are likely to remain near normal, with the forecast predicting 0.60 to 0.90 inches of rain. The outlook for southwestern lower Michigan also indicates odds favoring near-normal rainfall.
The 10-day forecast for Grand Rapids shows a clear and warm pattern, with temperatures steadily rising through the weekend. Friday and Saturday are expected to be sunny with highs of 83°F and 85°F, respectively. However, there is a chance of rain on Sunday, with a 30% likelihood and temperatures around 83°F. The beginning of the next week brings a higher chance of precipitation, with Monday and Tuesday seeing 45% and 35% chances of rain, respectively, and highs in the mid-80s.
