Paducah, KY – Above-normal temperatures and sunshine will continue across western Kentucky through the end of the workweek, according to the National Weather Service in Paducah. The region will enjoy mild nights and highs reaching into the 80s through Friday.
Meteorologists say the stretch of dry, warm weather will end as a cold front approaches late Friday into Saturday, bringing widespread showers and possible thunderstorms. Rain chances rise sharply Saturday afternoon, with several areas—including Paducah, Evansville, and Cape Girardeau—seeing up to 75–80% likelihood of rain during peak hours.
According to the NWS, a few severe thunderstorms may develop Saturday as the front passes. Cooler temperatures will follow, with highs dropping back into the 60s by Sunday.
The best chances for dry conditions return early next week. Until then, forecasters advise residents to stay weather-aware, especially during Saturday’s storm window.
