Paducah, KY – Residents across western Kentucky should prepare for a potentially volatile weather day Sunday, as forecasters warn of an increased risk of severe thunderstorms through the evening hours.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, KY, the region faces a Level 2 out of 5 “Slight Risk” for severe weather on Sunday, March 30, 2025. All forms of severe weather are possible, including tornadoes, large hail, and damaging wind gusts. The timing remains uncertain, but storms are expected to develop during the afternoon and evening hours, potentially lasting until midnight.

Areas most at risk include Paducah, Hopkinsville, and Owensboro, as well as parts of southern Illinois and southeast Missouri. Communities such as Evansville, IN and Cape Girardeau, MO, are also within the storm outlook zone.
