PADUCAH, Ky. – Sunshine will dominate most of the weekend across western Kentucky before a line of showers and isolated thunderstorms moves in Monday, bringing a brief change to the otherwise calm early October weather. Temperatures will climb into the upper 80s on Saturday and Sunday before cooling slightly with the arrival of rain.

According to the National Weather Service in Paducah, a 50% chance of showers develops Monday morning, with a few thunderstorms possible into the afternoon. Rain will linger through Monday night, tapering off by early Tuesday as skies gradually clear. Conditions will turn mild and dry again by Wednesday, with highs returning to the low 80s and light northerly winds.

Drivers may encounter reduced visibility from patchy fog overnight and early Saturday, especially in low-lying areas near the Ohio River. Calm winds and clear skies will dominate through Sunday night before the pattern shifts.

By midweek, sunshine and cooler mornings in the upper 50s will signal a more stable stretch of fall weather ahead.
