Bowling Green, Ky. – A tornado watch is in effect for 30 counties across western and south-central Kentucky until 10 p.m. Tuesday, as unstable air and strong storms threaten to develop into tornadic cells.

According to the National Weather Service’s Storm Prediction Center, Tornado Watch 305 covers areas including Bowling Green, Owensboro, Hopkinsville, and Henderson. Storms may produce damaging winds, large hail, and isolated tornadoes—particularly along the I-65 and Western Kentucky Parkway corridors.

Communities in Allen, Christian, Daviess, Muhlenberg, and Warren counties should prepare for rapidly changing conditions through Tuesday evening. Residents are urged to charge devices, review shelter plans, and avoid outdoor activities after 4 p.m., when storm activity is expected to increase.

If tornado warnings are issued, people in mobile homes or unreinforced buildings should seek sturdier shelter immediately. Outdoor events across the region may be delayed or canceled, especially in counties under higher storm rotation risk.

The tornado watch remains in effect until 10 p.m., though additional warnings may follow depending on storm development. Stay tuned to local alerts and have multiple ways to receive emergency notifications.
