Dodge City, KS – The National Weather Service in Dodge City reports that another round of light snow is expected this afternoon and evening, mainly along and near the Kansas-Colorado border.
According to the Weather Service, light snowfall will enter western Kansas early Wednesday afternoon, continue through the evening, and taper off by around midnight Thursday. Forecasters expect minimal accumulation for most locations, though totals could reach up to one inch in far western counties near the border.
The highest chances for measurable snowfall—about a 10–60% probability of one inch or more—are in areas including Syracuse, Johnson City, and Elkhart. Roads may become slick in these regions as temperatures drop into the 20s overnight.
No major travel disruptions are expected, but drivers are advised to use caution, especially during the evening commute and early Thursday morning.
