Des Moines, IA – Western Iowa is set for a mix of weather patterns this week, starting with partly to mostly sunny skies and gradually warming temperatures. Isolated showers are expected today, mainly in the northern areas. The chance of rain increases on Wednesday, with better coverage expected throughout the region.

According to the US National Weather Service Des Moines, a few lingering showers may persist on Thursday, but most areas will remain dry. Temperatures are expected to gradually rise, with highs reaching the mid to upper 80s by Friday. By the weekend, temperatures could climb into the 90s, bringing a hot and sunny conclusion to the week.

Today’s forecast predicts highs between 79 and 83 degrees with mostly sunny skies and a few showers in the north. On Wednesday, expect partly cloudy skies with scattered showers and storms, and highs between 80 and 85 degrees. Thursday’s weather will be partly cloudy with a few showers and highs ranging from 82 to 87 degrees. Friday will be warmer, with partly cloudy skies and highs between 84 and 89 degrees.
