Grand Junction, CO – Dangerous heat and lingering wildfire smoke will grip western Colorado on Wednesday, with temperatures expected to reach 100°F by late afternoon and visibility reduced across parts of Mesa County.

According to the National Weather Service in Grand Junction, smoke from regional wildfires will persist through at least Thursday morning, potentially affecting outdoor activities and those with respiratory issues. Isolated thunderstorms are possible in the higher terrain through the week, with the best chance for rain coming Thursday night into Friday.
