White Plains, NY – Westchester County residents can begin donating new, unwrapped toys today as the Westchester County Police Department launches its annual Operation Blue Santa Toy & Gift Drive. The holiday initiative, led by the WCPD Cadet Program, runs now through Thursday, Dec. 12, supporting local children and families across the county.

According to the Westchester County Police Department, cadets from Phase 2 Squad prepared and distributed toy drop boxes this week in partnership with Community Resource Officers, the WCPD PBA, and the Westchester County Department of Emergency Services. Once the drive ends, Blue Santa and a team of volunteers will deliver the gifts—especially to children spending the holidays in local hospitals.

This year’s drive includes a wide network of drop-off locations. Residents can donate at WCPD Headquarters, the Mount Kisco Precinct, Cortlandt Precinct, Airport Precinct, Police Academy, and the Department of Emergency Services Headquarters. Boxes are also set up at the Michaelian Office Building on Martine Avenue in White Plains, the Westchester County Office Building on East Post Road, Westchester Community College’s Student Center, and multiple Town of Cortlandt facilities.

Private partners have joined as well, including Mimi’s Coffee House in Mount Kisco and Starbucks in Mount Kisco, offering additional donation points for residents.

County officials also acknowledged support from Westchester Community College, the Department of Transportation and Public Works, Liberty Lines, and the Westchester Building Owners and Managers Association, which helped coordinate this year’s expansion.

Residents are encouraged to donate early as the toy drive enters its busiest weeks of the season.
