Westchester County, NY – Two additional suspects in the late-September burglary and vandalism spree at Playland amusement park have surrendered to Westchester County Police this week, bringing all three individuals allegedly involved into custody.

According to the Westchester County Police Department, the suspects — all from New Jersey — allegedly arrived at the Playland beach on a small boat shortly before midnight on Sept. 23 and climbed a fence to enter the park. The third suspect had already surrendered last week. All three have now been charged with Burglary 3rd Degree and Criminal Mischief 2nd Degree, both felonies, along with misdemeanor charges including Criminal Trespass 2nd Degree and Petit Larceny.

Police say the trio allegedly vandalized an electrical room, ripping out fiber optic lines used for phone and internet service. They are also accused of stealing roughly 200 stuffed animals, placing them into garbage bags before fleeing. Authorities said the group allegedly attempted to push a photo booth off the boardwalk but was unable to do so.

Investigators estimate the total damage at $57,000. The boat used during the incident was reportedly taken from a Connecticut boat club and later returned.

Detectives from the General Investigations Unit led the case, which moved forward after multiple public tips stemming from social media posts and media coverage. All three suspects were released on their own recognizance following arraignment in Rye City Court.
