Pittsburgh, PA – A Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 7 a.m. Thursday for parts of eastern West Virginia. Affected areas include Preston, Tucker, Webster, Pocahontas, and Randolph counties.

The National Weather Service predicts less than an inch of snow and a light glaze of ice. The advisory warns of slippery roads, particularly on bridges and overpasses. Hazardous driving conditions could disrupt the Thursday morning commute.

Drivers should reduce speeds and allow extra travel time. Pedestrians should exercise caution on icy stairs, sidewalks, and driveways to prevent injuries.

The National Weather Service encourages residents to report snow and ice conditions. Use the NWS Pittsburgh Facebook page or Twitter handle @NWSPittsburgh for updates. You can also call 412-262-1988 to provide reports.

These mixed precipitation conditions are expected to improve after 7 a.m. Motorists are urged to stay alert and drive carefully until then.
