Davis, WV – A Winter Storm Warning remains in effect for Tucker County, West Virginia, through 1 p.m. Tuesday as heavy snow and strong winds continue to impact the region, according to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh.

Forecasters report that an additional 2 to 3 inches of snow are expected this morning across the Canaan Valley area, including Davis, Thomas, and Parsons. Winds could gust as high as 50 mph, creating blowing snow and hazardous driving conditions, particularly during the morning commute.

The NWS warns that slick and snow-covered roads may make travel difficult in higher elevations. The combination of heavy, wet snow and strong winds could also lead to downed tree branches and isolated power outages.

Conditions are expected to gradually improve this afternoon as snow showers taper off and winds slowly diminish. Drivers are urged to use caution, reduce speed, and allow extra travel time.

Residents are encouraged to report snow or ice accumulations to the National Weather Service via @NWSPittsburgh on X or the NWS Pittsburgh Facebook page.
