Pittsburgh, PA – Gusty winds are forecast to impact parts of West Virginia and Pennsylvania through Tuesday afternoon, with wind speeds reaching up to 50 mph.

The National Weather Service has issued a Wind Advisory for Eastern Preston County, WV, as well as the higher elevations of Westmoreland, Fayette, and Indiana counties in PA. The advisory is in effect from midnight Monday through 3 p.m. Tuesday.

According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, residents in the affected areas can expect west winds of 15 to 25 mph, with gusts potentially strong enough to blow around unsecured outdoor objects. Tree limbs may snap, and isolated power outages are possible.
