Charleston, WV – West Virginia residents will enjoy warm, sunny weather on Tuesday before rain arrives midweek. Temperatures will climb into the low 70s Tuesday afternoon, offering a taste of spring just days before the season officially begins on Thursday.

According to the National Weather Service, Tuesday’s forecast calls for mostly sunny skies in Charleston, with a high of 71°F and light southwest winds at 5-7 mph. Tuesday night will bring partly cloudy skies with a low around 46°F. The dry conditions won’t last long, as showers are expected to develop late Wednesday night.

Wednesday will feel even warmer, with a high near 80°F under mostly sunny skies. However, by Wednesday night, rain chances increase to 60%, with showers likely before dawn. A more significant system moves in Thursday, bringing an 80% chance of rain and cooler temperatures, with highs in the mid-50s.

Looking ahead, Friday is expected to be dry and sunny with highs in the upper 50s, but another round of showers could arrive by Saturday.

Residents should take advantage of the warm, dry start to the week before rain returns midweek. Those with outdoor plans on Thursday should prepare for wet conditions.
