Charleston, WV – Snowfall will continue impacting Charleston and surrounding areas Thursday, with slippery roads creating hazardous travel conditions. However, a warming trend is on the way by the weekend.
According to the National Weather Service, a Winter Weather Advisory remains in effect until 1 p.m. Thursday. Snow accumulation of up to two inches is expected, with icy roads likely along I-64 and other major routes. Drivers should use caution, especially during the morning commute.
By Friday, conditions improve as skies clear and temperatures rise to 33°F. Saturdaywill be mostly sunny with a high of 41°F, while Sunday brings even warmer weather at 44°F.
Looking ahead, the warming trend continues into Monday and Tuesday, with highs reaching the mid-50s. However, rain chances return early next week.
