Canaan Valley, WV – A Wind Advisory is in effect for Eastern Tucker County through 5 p.m. Sunday, as strong gusts sweep across the higher terrain of the Canaan Valley and Davis areas.
According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, west winds of 15 to 25 mph with gusts reaching 50 mph are expected throughout the day. These gusts could bring down small tree limbs, move unsecured outdoor items, and cause isolated power outages.
Residents are urged to secure outdoor decorations, lawn furniture, and other loose items. Drivers, especially those operating high-profile vehicles, should use caution on elevated and exposed roadways.
The advisory remains in effect until early this evening, when winds are expected to gradually subside.
