Charleston, WV – Showers are starting to manifest across portions of West Virginia this morning with a slow-moving warm front just to the south. Some heavier downpours are possible throughout the day, mostly confined to the mountains.
According to the US National Weather Service Charleston WV, scattered showers and thunderstorms with locally heavy downpours are expected today. The higher probability for showers and storms will be across the mountains and the coalfields, with a lesser chance across southeast Ohio. Showers are anticipated to continue through the afternoon, tapering off by the evening.
Saturday’s forecast indicates a high of 84°F with a 45% chance of precipitation. Sunday will see temperatures rise to 86°F with cloudy skies. On Monday, there’s a 55% chance of showers and a high of 81°F. Tuesday’s forecast predicts a 35% chance of rain with temperatures reaching 83°F. By Wednesday, the chance of showers increases to 50% with a high of 84°F. The latter part of the week will see temperatures stabilize in the low 80s with a mix of sun and clouds.
