Charleston, West Virginia – Residents across central and southern West Virginia are enduring a relentless heat wave that’s driving real-feel temperatures to 105° through Wednesday evening. Health officials are urging residents to take precautions immediately, especially in Charleston, Huntington, and along I-64 where the heat will be most intense.
According to the National Weather Service in Charleston, an Extreme Heat Warning remains in effect until 8 p.m. EDT Wednesday for portions of northeast Kentucky, southeast Ohio, and much of the lowlands of West Virginia.
