Charleston, W.Va. – A stretch of warm, dry weather will set up across West Virginia as residents head into the Labor Day holiday weekend, with sunny skies and highs in the upper 70s to low 80s expected through Monday.

According to the National Weather Service in Charleston, increasing clouds today will give way to mostly sunny conditions Friday, followed by clear skies Saturday and Sunday. High temperatures will range from 79 to 82 degrees, while overnight lows will stay mild in the 50s to near 60. Winds will remain light, with calm evenings making for good outdoor conditions.

Across Kanawha County and surrounding areas, drivers can expect smooth travel with no major weather disruptions, while outdoor events, festivals, and family gatherings should enjoy near-perfect weather. Sunday night into Monday looks favorable for late summer cookouts, boating, and hiking as humidity remains low.

The next chance of unsettled weather arrives by midweek, when a slight chance of showers may develop on Wednesday, but until then the region stays dry.
