According to the National Weather Service in Pittsburgh, there is a 70-90% chance of at least six inches of snow in Preston and Tucker counties. The forecast covers the period from 7 a.m. Thursday through 7 a.m. Saturday. Areas like Davis and Elkins hold the highest probabilities of heavy snowfall, reaching up to 83%.
The surrounding Laurel Highlands may experience lighter snow with probabilities dropping outside key elevated areas. Meteorologists are monitoring the system closely and may issue a Winter Storm Watch if confidence in significant accumulation increases.
Residents are advised to prepare for possible travel disruptions and monitor local updates as the week progresses. Snowfall amounts will depend on the storm’s exact track and intensity.
