Memphis, TN – Cooler fall weather will hold across the Mid-South through Friday before a warming trend moves in over the weekend, according to the National Weather Service in Memphis.

High temperatures are expected to stay in the 70s through Friday, with nighttime lows dropping into the mid-40s to lower 50s by Saturday morning. A gradual warm-up will follow, bringing daytime highs in the lower to mid-80s into next week.

According to forecasters, dry conditions will persist, with no significant rain expected across West Tennessee, North Mississippi, or eastern Arkansas through early next week. The mild stretch comes after a series of cooler, breezy days that marked the region’s first extended taste of fall.

Communities such as Jackson, Dyersburg, and Oxford are expected to see the most noticeable temperature swings, with crisp mornings giving way to warm, sunny afternoons by Sunday.

Residents are encouraged to take advantage of the clear skies for outdoor plans but should be prepared for chilly overnight lows through Saturday.
