Wheaton, Ill. — This week, the City of Wheaton declared July 12 as West Suburban Foundation for Disabled Veterans Day in Wheaton.
West Suburban Foundation for Disabled Veterans (WSFDV) provides housing and other living necessities for disabled veterans and their families. Mayor Phil Suess honored the work of WSFDV by proclaiming July 12, 2025 a day to honor the foundation.
On July 12, WSFDV will host the Rockin’ For Our Vets Concert on Charity. The event partners with Cantigny and the Gary Sinise Foundation to support military veterans and their families through a community event. Rockin’ For Our Vets supports 20 organizations that benefit veterans.
The Rockin’ For Our Vets Concert will feature Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band. The concert will be at Cantigny. Gates open at 2:00 p.m. and the opener, Stolen Silver, begins at 6:00 p.m. Gary Sinise and the Lt. Dan Band will take the stage at 7:00 p.m. Cantigny will be closed to the general public and only open to concert ticketholders on July 12. Tickets are $50 and include off-site parking.
