San Francisco, California – Bay Area residents can expect one final day of cooler-than-normal temperatures Tuesday as a persistent upper-level low finally begins lifting northward, setting the stage for a midweek warm-up.
According to the National Weather Service San Francisco Bay Area, satellite water vapor imagery shows the low pressure system that’s kept the region mild is slowly shifting, with warmer and drier conditions returning by Wednesday. This pattern shift will gradually push temperatures back into the 80s for inland cities like Concord and Livermore, while coastal areas including San Francisco and Half Moon Bay should see sunnier skies and highs in the upper 60s to low 70s.
Drivers and outdoor workers may still notice gusty breezes and slightly below-average daytime highs Tuesday, especially along coastal highways like Highway 1 and over higher terrain. No major weather hazards are expected, but the cooler air mass may continue to cause patchy fog in morning hours across the Peninsula and East Bay valleys.
Conditions are expected to stabilize heading into the weekend, with more typical July heat on the way for interior California.
