Los Angeles, CA – West Coast residents are reminded to set their clocks back one hour this Sunday as Daylight Saving Time officially ends at 2 a.m. The time shift means an extra hour of sleep for many, but it’s also a good opportunity for essential safety checks at home.
The California Department of Forestry and Fire Protection (Cal Fire) encourages residents to test smoke alarms and replace batteries during the time change to reduce the risk of home fire incidents. Reviewing fire escape plans with family members is also recommended to ensure emergency readiness.
