TAMPA, Fla. – Early clouds drift over Tampa Bay this morning, but the region’s weather is about to turn downright flawless. After a few patchy clouds and a low-end shower chance later today, sunshine will quickly reclaim the sky — setting up one of the most comfortable Halloween weekends in recent memory.

According to the National Weather Service in Ruskin, a weak disturbance brushing the Gulf Coast could spark an isolated sprinkle late today and early Thursday. Winds will turn from the southwest to northwest as the system exits, allowing cooler, drier air to slide in behind it. Highs Thursday reach the mid-70s before clear skies and low humidity take over by Friday morning.

Halloween Friday will bring sunshine, light breezes, and highs near 72°F — perfect for evening plans around Tampa, St. Petersburg, and Brandon. Temperatures dip into the low 60s by sunset, with dry air ensuring no sticky costumes or soggy candy this year. Visibility will be excellent across area bridges and main routes like I-275 and the Howard Frankland, though drivers should watch for increased pedestrian traffic near neighborhoods.

The weekend continues the streak of near-perfect fall weather. Highs Saturday climb into the mid-70s under full sun, followed by upper 70s to near 80°F by Sunday. The mild air will make outdoor events, festivals, and cleanup days ideal before a slight warmup early next week.

After all, this is Florida’s version of fall — crisp mornings, bright skies, and no umbrellas required.
