Tampa, FL – The National Weather Service in Tampa Bay says residents along Florida’s west coast will experience a breezy and warm weekend, followed by a gradual cooling trend next week as a series of cold fronts move through the region.

Saturday and Sunday will remain partly cloudy and breezy, with highs reaching the mid-80s to near 90°F across much of the Tampa Bay area. A Small Craft Advisory is in effect along the coast due to elevated winds and choppy seas, making boating conditions hazardous through Sunday.

A slight chance of showers returns Monday, with another round of clouds and scattered light rain possible Wednesday. Behind these fronts, cooler and drier air will bring more comfortable humidity levels and overnight lows in the 60s, dipping into the upper 50s inland by midweek.

The NWS notes that no severe weather is expected, but mariners and beachgoers should use caution this weekend due to gusty winds and rough surf.
