Tampa, FL – Tampa Bay residents should prepare for a hot and stormy week ahead, with afternoon thunderstorms expected through Thursday. Today’s forecast calls for temperatures between 88 and 93 degrees, along with widespread showers and thunderstorms developing later in the day.

According to the National Weather Service, the pattern of afternoon storms is expected to continue, with Tuesday’s temperatures ranging from 88 to 92 degrees. Showers and thunderstorms will likely develop throughout the day. Wednesday and Thursday will bring similar conditions, with temperatures slightly cooler, ranging between 87 to 91 degrees on Wednesday and 88 to 90 degrees on Thursday.

The week will start warm, with humidity pushing the heat index higher. Storms may bring localized flooding in low-lying areas, so it’s important to stay weather aware. Rain could also cause brief delays in outdoor activities.

Be sure to keep an umbrella or rain gear handy, as the scattered storms will persist throughout the week. The best chance for drier weather may come later in the weekend.
