Chelan County, WA – A 40-year-old Wenatchee man was arrested Friday after allegedly making threats to shoot children at schools and issuing bomb threats, according to the Chelan County Sheriff’s Office.

The arrest followed a harassment call in Leavenworth on September 12. According to Sheriff Mike Morrison, deputies were alerted after the suspect, identified as Casey A. Garrison, allegedly made violent threats over social media. The threats reportedly began when another user confronted Garrison over a comment he made online.

Investigators said Garrison allegedly wrote that children would be shot at school, referencing past victims of violence and issuing statements such as “death will always find you.” Authorities said the threats escalated to include bomb threats as well.

With help from the Columbia River Drug Task Force and the East Cascade SWAT Team, Garrison was taken into custody after a 10-hour investigation. He was booked into the Chelan County Regional Justice Center on charges of harassment threats to kill and making bomb threats.

Sheriff Morrison said all local schools and law enforcement agencies were notified during the investigation. “Incidents of threatening to shoot children at schools will not be tolerated,” the sheriff’s office stated.

Authorities thanked the community for its support and asked residents to remain vigilant.
