Atlanta, GA – After a chilly Thursday evening, Atlanta residents should prepare for a gradual warming trend this weekend, with daytime highs reaching the low 50s by Sunday. However, showers are expected to move in late Sunday, marking a shift from sunny conditions earlier in the weekend.

According to the National Weather Service, tonight’s low will drop to 25 degrees with clear skies and calm winds. Friday will bring slightly warmer weather, with highs around 43 degrees and sunny skies. Overnight temperatures will plummet to 24 degrees before warming significantly on Saturday. Expect sunny skies and highs reaching 48 degrees on Saturday, ideal for outdoor plans.

By Sunday, temperatures will climb to 51 degrees, but rain is likely by the evening. A 50% chance of showers could impact drivers on I-285 and other major Atlanta roadways during late-night hours. Monday’s forecast includes a continued chance of rain in the morning with partly cloudy skies by the afternoon and highs around 51.

Residents are encouraged to enjoy sunny conditions on Saturday but prepare for wet roads and cooler temperatures Sunday night. Keep an umbrella handy and plan for potential delays during the evening commute.
