The National Weather Service in Chicago has issued a forecast predicting heat indexes between 100 and 110 degrees from Saturday into Monday.

According to the National Weather Service, the heat and humidity will usher in occasional storm chances. A few showers or storms may occur Saturday morning, although severe weather is not expected. However, storms with damaging winds and large hail could develop late Saturday afternoon and evening, posing potential risks.

The forecast suggests that while some storms might bring heavy rainfall and flash flooding, severe weather conditions will likely be scattered. Sunday and Monday will continue to experience very humid conditions, with peak heat indexes of 100-105 degrees on Sunday and 100-110 degrees on Monday.
